Nine Royal Navy ships already have the name HMS Horse Horses :
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (1757) was an 18-gun privateer taken from France in 1757. He was in the Arctic discovery in 1773. He changed his name to Guntur (and re-classified as a bomb ship) on October 24, 1775. The French captured Thunder from Sandy Hook on August 14, 1778.
- HMS Race Horse is mercantile Hercules purchased by the Royal Navy in Jamaica in 1776, and that the American Andrea Doria at 24 December 1776. Surprise 'crew destroyed it in 1777 in Delaware Bay to prevent the Royal Navy recapture it.
- HMSÃ, Horse Horses (1777) is a 16-gun lifeboat purchased in 1777 and soon renamed to Senegal . The 74-gun French Hector captured it on 14 August 1778. France changed its name to SÃÆ' à © nÃÆ' à © gal . Zephyr captured it again on November 2, 1780 after a five-hour engagement and where the Frenchman lost 12 dead and 28 wounded, while Britain lost two dead and four wounded. Royal Navy took him back to service as HMS Senegal . Senegal was in Gorene repaired when he caught fire and exploded on November 22, with the loss of the captain and 22 people.
- HMSÃ, Horse Horse (1778) is a 10-gun shovel purchased in 1778. He was vandalized in 1779 at Beachy Head.
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (1781) is a 16-gun lifeboat that was launched in 1781. He was destroyed in 1799.
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (1806) is an 18-shot brig that was launched in February 1806. He was destroyed in 1822 from Man Island.
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (1830) is an 18-gun lifeboat that was launched in 1830. He became a coal hulk in 1860 and sold in 1901.
- HMSÃ, Horse Horses (1860) was a wooden screw rifle launched in 1860. He was destroyed in 1864 near Yantai in China.
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (1900) is a destroyer of the Greyhound class that was launched in 1900. It was sold in 1920, resold, and split in 1921.
- HMSÃ, Racehorse (H11) is an R-class destroyer launched in 1942. It was sold in 1949.
