The DuPuis Management Area is a 21,875 acre protected area in northwestern Palm Beach County, Florida and southwest of Martin County, Florida. Recreation opportunities include hunting, horse riding, cycling, camping, hiking, auto tour, and fishing. During the hunting period it is closed for other uses. The property includes a visitor center. Dogs are not allowed on the property. The park covers 22 miles of hiking trails, including the expanse of the Ocean to the Lake Trail (spur the Florida National Trail). There is also a horse riding camp and 40 miles of horseback riding. The park is located on State Road 76. Along the Ocean to Lake Trail.

Habitat
Habitats on the property include a pond, wet meadows, cypress dome, pine wood, and the remaining Everglades swamp. Its remote location provides a dark night sky is perfect for star gazing. Animal species include deer, turkeys, quails, jungle cats, crocodiles, eagles, owls, woodpeckers, swamps, bald eagles, sand cranes, wooden storks and eastern serpents.
Species that inhabit the property include the federal endangered red trigger bird that is being reintroduced. There is also a butterfly garden.

History
Farmland was obtained in 1986, and has been used by Dutch cattle, sheep and goats. Restoration work is done after purchase and linked to J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area. This area is named for John G. and Susan H. DuPuis Jr.
Hunting
Hunting season includes periods for muzzleloading, mobility impairment, general, wild boar, small game, spring turkey, and archery. This property is closed to everyone except those who participate in the hunt for all hunting dates except the Little Game Season and Wild Hog Still hunts.
Camping
There are three campers located in the area - horse riding, families and groups. There are also 3 primitive campsites located along the loop hiking path (no permission required for hiking trail campsites). Special Permission Permission License at no charge required for camping. Permissions are obtained online from the Southern Water Management District Recreation page. sfwmd.gov/sul Family and Group Camps are gated and have a combination lock. Gates should be closed and locked when in and out. The Equestrian camp is gated but does not have a combination lock. The gate should be closed after entering and exiting. Camping is limited to 8 consecutive days at a time and campers must vacate the property for a full day before additional licenses can be obtained. Visitors are limited to 30 days of camping per year throughout the District. DuPuis campground has no electric or water hook up. Quiet hours should be observed in all camps between 11 pm and 7 am.
At the family camp there are 14 primitive campsites that surround the lake. There are two solar-powered composting toilets (limited supply equipped) and a single hose of drinking water. Only camping tents and pop-ups are allowed. Some sites have fire rings and picnic tables. Use of the generator is not allowed in this camp. sfwmd.gov/sul
Group camp for camping groups and includes two picnic pavilions, portable toilets, and an unpowered well with a pitcher pump. This site is for groups of at least 8 and up to 25. There are two permissions available per day. This site only allows tent or pop up camping. Use of the generator is not allowed in this camp. The riding camp is for people who need accommodation for horses and trailers. It is open to all users and is the only campsite in DuPuis that allows RV/travel trailers and horse rigs. Facilities at this camp include a bath house with hot water showers and sprinkled toilet, drinking water and a garbage dump. Use of generators is permitted at this camp but may not be used during quiet hours between 11 pm and 7 am. Tightly enforced. The loop trail campsites are only accessible by hiking on foot.
Off-road motor vehicles, such as ATVs and dirt bikes, are not allowed on the property. Only registered licensed vehicles are allowed and can only operate on the named value in DuPuis. No vehicle permission is required to access the named value in DuPuis.
This property is closed during certain hunting dates during Autumn and Spring for all except those participating in the hunt. Please check the closing date for hunting at myfwc.com/hunting/wma-brochures or at the Recreation site of the District Management Water Florida South. sfwmd.gov/recreation.
Dogs are now allowed in campsites as long as they are under control and under the control of the owner at all times. The litter should be taken and disposed of properly. The current permit has a camping rule installed and the latest one shows "Dogs must be tied and under control in the camping area.Please consult the FWC hunting brochure on rules and regulations for hunting with dogs."
