Buttermilk (1941-1972) is the Horse Quarter quarters. She appeared in many Western movies with her owner/rider, cowgirl star Dale Evans.

Buttermilk was driven by Evans in the 1950s Roy Rogers Show with her husband Roy Rogers driving his Palomino, Trigger. The two horses were very popular and became successful marketing with replicas of cast and plastics, lamps, and dozens of other products purchased by adults and children.

After Buttermilk died in 1972, his skin stretched across the surface of plaster and was displayed at Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Victorville, California (the museum was moved to Branson, Missouri).

In 2010, the Branson museum was closed and all artifacts sold included Trigger horse and Buttermilk.
