Researcher (foaled May 5, 2004, in Virginia) is a Thoroughbred racing horse competing in the United States. Raised by Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc.
A horse from the earliest simplest [1], the Researcher was purchased by Rutledge Farm (Mr. Hermen Greenberg), in 2005, as a $ 5,000 charity donation [2] to the M.A.R.E Center at Virginia Tech Foundation, in Middleburg, Virginia. One year after winning the 1st Charles Town Classic, and just days before winning the 2nd Charles Town Classic, April 16, 2010, Mr. Zohar Ben-Dov (Kinross Farm) buys Researchers from Mr. Greenberg's land, for an undisclosed amount. (Mr. Greenberg died 28 February 2010.)
The combination of rare stamina and speed, "Researchers are every horseman's dream..." - horse "push button" [3], known for its adaptability.

The researcher was a single local horse, on a 10-horse field, when he beat the Commentator to steal the show [5] in Charles Town Races and Slots, winning the 1st Annual Charles Town Classic, on April 18, 2009.
On April 17, 2010, Researchers defended his title [6], in First Year $ 1 million Charles Town Classic by winning Awesome Gem game. The time is only a fraction of the track record he made on 3/28/2009.
Awards
The late Hermen Greenberg researcher named 2009 Champion Virginia-raised Older Male on the strength of his victory in the 2009 $ 500,000 Charles Town Classic Stakes (L) and finished second place in the 2009 $ 100,000 Queens Country Handicap Gr. III at the Aqueduct. With Two Smart, from Wild Magnolia by Apalachee, Researchers won four other West Virginia races with earnings of $ 492,859 for 2009. [7]
