Histori
Preparation for the establishment of Norco College began in the 1980s, when the Riverside Community College District paid the US government a dollar to buy a plot of 141 acres (57 ha). (This terrestrial university once attributed to The Hotel Norconian, a luxury resort acquired by the US Navy in December 1941, was converted into a military hospital during World War II.Today the hotel's original property is listed on the List of Historic Sites National and is currently the location of the US Navy's Surface Protection Center, Corona Division.)
RCCD opened the Norco Campus in April 1991, with a view to meeting the needs of students in the rapidly growing Corona and Norco cities. The campus enrolled 3,088 students in the first half - an opening scheduled to coincide with the 75th anniversary of Riverside's parent institution.
The Norco campus is growing rapidly in enrollment. In the fall of 1994, the number of student employees was 3,782; in the fall of 2000, the number was 6,681. In 2003, the Supervisory Board of the Riverside Community College District has begun implementing changes that will allow the Norco campus to achieve full college accreditation. Registration in autumn 2008 exceeds 10,000 students.
In January 2010, Norco College received full accreditation from the Community Accreditation Commission and Junior School (ACCJC), to become an accredited college of 112 in the state of the California Community College System.

Title V
Since 2009, Norco College has been awarded two US Government multi-million grants V. The Title V program is designed to support high-end Hispanic-serving (HSIs) institutions (such as Norco College) and help these institutions expand educational opportunities for Hispanic students.
In October 2009, Norco College received a $ 5,000 grant over five years to enable the creation of a Game Art program with tracks for Game Design, Game Programming, and Audio Game. The second component of the grant is the integration of games, simulations, and electronic portfolios into other transfer and career technology programs to improve student success and retention.

Norco College partners with California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), to create a complementary academic program in commercial music, new media, game programming, and mobile app development - all structured to provide a seamless transition from the lecture community to coursework and degree baccalaureate.
