Careers
The Last Samurai
The Last Samurai Production requires an animatronic horse capable of performing a series of actions that will make the horse and the real rider in danger of serious injury. Rappaport was assigned to build a horse that could seamlessly replace Tom Cruise's original horse for the scenes. Rappaport said, "This may be the latest horse or animated creature ever made for a movie, it costs $ 1.5 million to make it." It sits in its place, he stands, it falls, and it looks really real.
300
Rappaport (inspector of creature effects) and Shaun Smith (makeup effect controller) work together to create a world of securities for 300 . This vast body includes prosthetic makeup, animatronic animals, props, weaponry, and costume elements. In addition to the incredible horse effect for the film, Rappaport creates an animatronic wolf doll for a scene where young Leonidas confronts predators. "The filmmakers shoot puppet interactions practically attacking young Leonidas in narrow stone gaps, veteran veteran watchtaker Mark Rappaport and his team do doll mechanization with: blinking eyes, head, neck, eyebrows, jaw and tongue movements, saliva tubes and glowing eyes. "
I Am Legend
I_Am_Legend ">For I Am Legend, starring Will Smith Mark Rappaport develops full body silicone makeup for aggressive primitive creatures known as "Darkseekers". The transparent makeup creates the look of a spiny zombie infection and metabolism desired by director Francis Lawrence. The makeup should be applied to the very thin performers to create the look of fatty and protruding body fat. The makeup includes a decaying tooth decaying teeth and a very dilated pupil contact lens. In addition to makeup, Markus studio creates animatronic dolls resembling "Sam" German Shepherd, digital scanning models for infected dogs, wound scars and knives for moulage for Will Smith and many other effects for production.
Other Projects
After designing and producing animatronic horses that can be mounted for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Mark's Studio creates a second horse for the Story before bed. Motion and animatronic features of two horses improved and refined for True Grit and further developed for Cowboys & amp; Aliens. Animatronic horses are used where the action (if done by the original horse) may place a rider or horse at risk of injury or injury.
