Horseshoe Baltimore is a two-storey urban casino, and the second largest casino in Maryland with a 122,000 square foot game floor. The multi-million dollar facility comes with video lottery terminal, table games and the World Series of Poker room. Horseshoe's 20,000 square feet The Baltimore Market has a Charm City food outlet, three main restaurants, and several bars and lounges.
The $ 442 million casino is located along Russell Street on the south side of Baltimore, a professional sports venue adjacent to M & T Bank Stadium, the venue of the NFL Baltimore Ravens, and Camden Yards, the MLB home of the Baltimore Orioles, as well as the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
The casino was developed by CBAC Gaming, a group led by Caesars Entertainment. Other members of the CBAC consortium include Jack Entertainment, CVPR Gaming Holdings, LLC; Limited Partnership STRON-MD and PRT TWO, LLC.

History
In a 2008 constitutional referendum, Maryland voters approved the video lottery terminal casino facility in Baltimore City, and at four other locations across the state. In July 2012, the Maryland Lottery Commission approved a consortium bid led by Caesars Entertainment to develop and operate game facilities in downtown Baltimore.
The initial design of the casino was prepared by Baltimore-based architect Ayers Saint Gross. Following construction approval, a revised rendering was prepared by Cleveland-based train architect, who designed Cleveland's Horseshoe Casino.
On August 26, 2014, the casino opened with a night of celebrations that included performances inside and outside the Casino. The outdoors included live performances from the band Rhythm6 Andy Kushner Entertainment and a vertical dance show by BANDALOOP and fireworks before the doors opened for VIP. In the entertainment provided by the legendary artist Motown, Gladys Knight, with "break music" provided by Iggy Azalea and Pauly D.

Question Seven
In November 2012, following the most expensive political campaign in Maryland history, voters approved the 6th casino license in the state, as well as the addition of table games on all of the Maryland casino sites. Voters approved the expansion of gambling, Question 7, with 52 percent of the vote. More than $ 90 million was spent between two campaigns in their bid to influence voters. Voting Yes on Question 7 is led by MGM Resorts International, Peterson Cos. And labor organizations. Vote No On 7 is funded almost entirely by Penn National Gaming, the owner of Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
Transportation
Horseshoe Casino is accessible by Baltimore Light Rail on Hamburg Street Station, and by MTA Buses # 14, # 17, and # 27.
Criticism
Baltimore Brew has been critical of casino city financial support, including increased casino attendance near casinos and planned financial reimbursement, especially after initial casino earnings have proven to be less than anticipated.
Horseshoe also faces unique security challenges, as it holds a 24-7 liquor license at its 14forty bar. The only bar in Maryland that can serve alcohol all the time is in the casino.
