Dead Horse Point State Park is a Utah state park in the United States, featuring dramatic views of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park covers 5,362 hectares (2,170 ha) of high deserts at an altitude of 5,900 feet (1,800 m).

The park has several sights, a visitor center, Kayenta Camp with 21 RV campsites with electricity and tent pads, Wingate Campground (New 2018) featuring 20 RV campsites and 11 campsites only in tents, nine yurts, picnic area at the core , a coffee shop serving food and drinks, and a 9-mile (14 km) loop hiking trail that allows access to the East Rim Trail and West Rim Trail. Security issues include the relative isolation of parks (gas, food and medical care over 30 miles (48 km) in Moab), the dangers of lightning and uncontrolled cliffs. Nearest Moab is the famous center for mountain biking. Bicycles in the park are allowed on paved roads, and there is a mountain bike trail called the Intrepid Trail with 17 miles of single track near the Taman Negara Visitor Center with varying degrees of difficulty. Hunting is not allowed in the park.

The park is so named because of its use as a natural cage by the cowboys of the 19th century, where horses often die from exposure. Dead Horse Point has often been recorded on the list of unusual place names.

This area is also used in the final 'Grand Canyon' scene of the 1991 movie Thelma & amp; Louise .
