Reviews
Michael Cavanaugh, President of the Institute on Religion in an Age of Science, called this book "horrible," saying that "It allows one to see how totalitarian religious thought can begin to take even a multi-cultural free society." Karl Giberson, editor-in-chief of Templeton Foundation Science & amp; Theology News chose it as Editor's Choice in July and described it as "a great analysis". Allan H. Harvey reviews the book for the Perspective on Christian Science and Faith , the journal of the American Scientific Affiliation and criticizes the author's understanding of Christian theology, but writes that "his thoroughness makes the Trojan Horse Creationism deserving readable for those concerned about the influence of the movement on public opinion and science education. by Discovery Institute
The main subject of this book, Discovery Institute, is very critical of Trojan Horse Creation . Jonathan Witt of the Discovery Institute wrote a review in the theological journal Philosophia Christi published by the Evangelical Philosophical Institute and said that it has "misconception" and that "in every page of this book, there is a paranoia tone."
Witt and John G. West of the Discovery Institute also have articles published in the November 2004 edition of Science & Theology News entitled "Describing the Darwinist Paranoia Yarn". A month later, Forrest and Gross wrote in Science & amp; Theology News , with replies by Witt and West. Ian Musgrave contributed a letter to the editor in the February 2005 issue that answered West and Witt's answer.
Research for Kitzmiller v. Dover
A study mainly conducted by Forrest caused him to appear as an expert witness to the plaintiff at Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District intelligent design trials, where intelligent design is ruled to be religious creationism and not science, and thus can not be taught as a science in public school classrooms in Dover, Pennsylvania because of the US Constitution Formation clause.
During the trial, a pre-publishing draft of a textbook at the center of the controversy of Pandas and People was found that revealed the origin of his creation and how it has changed from using creationist terminology to using intelligent design terminology as a result of a Supreme Court decision US at Edwards v. Aguillard . This forms an important part of Forrest's testimony.
A few days before Forrest's testimony, the Discovery Institute published a "brief history of smart scientific design theory" by Jonathan Witt, where he sought to reduce the importance of Edwards v. Aguillard, who claims that the origin of intelligent designs is much older.
