Controversy

Claim

Jon and Nicole Taffer, along with production company Bongo LLC, have been sued by Dr. Paul T. Wilkes of Bar 702 (formerly Sand Dollar). In "Do not Mess with Taffer's Wife", his bar and staff were shown, Paul proved to be hitting Nicole and Jon yelling at him in retaliation. However, he claims that in the fact that the producer ordered him to be rotten and make offensive comments on the woman and texted him to "Hit on Mrs Taffer hardcore !!" After he did it, instead of "straightening it out," the doctor claimed that Taffer allegedly called the control room to tell them to drink near the place where he intended to confront Dr. Wilkes, so he could throw it on his face. and said to a colleague "Now I will show you why my show is Number One." Dr. Wilkes later claimed that Jon Taffer came to confront him and show him the recording of the audition in which he insulted the way Jon dressed. Jon then grabs a drink in his hand, throws it onto his face, and breaks the cup on his face. Jon then spat on his face and tore his shirt roughly so his buttons tore his shirt. Jon then picks up the second beverage that is planted and throws it at Dr.'s face. Wilkes. After that, Jon swung his head. Wilkes with his electronic tablet and turned to take his coat. Dr. Wilkes thought Taffer would be looking for weapons, so he tried to hold him and punched in his left jaw. Jon Taffer started panting and collapsed on the floor with all the caught on camera. As a result of this attack, Dr. Wilkes claims he suffers from emotional stress and symptoms such as migraines, nausea, vomiting, night terrors, crying spells, major depression, and anxiety attacks. There are currently no updates to the lawsuit.

Wayne Mills murder

During the recording for the episode "Music City Mess", Taffer visited BoondoxXx BBQ & amp; Juke Joint in Nashville, Tennessee and works with owner Chris Ferrell who is famous for having a hot temperament. The rescued bar is named Pit & amp; The barrel and episode featuring the bar was broadcast on November 24, 2013, but on the night before the episode was broadcast, Ferrell was arrested by the Nashville police for shooting and killing country singer Wayne Mills during a showdown inside Pit & Barrel. Spike immediately drew the episode of the prime slot originally scheduled. However, it did not remove the full episode and the regularly scheduled encore presentation of the episode, which aired in the early hours of November 25, was inadvertently presented as a premiere. The network draws criticism for error due to circumstances.

Ferrell was finally put on trial for Mills' murder and insisted he acted in self-defense, claiming that Mills had broken the rules of non-smoking and threatened to kill him with broken beer bottles. The jury, however, sentenced Ferrell to a second degree murder in March 2015 after a long delayed trial and he was given a twenty-year sentence in which Ferrell was asked to complete the whole. Judgments and penalties are being filed.
